Today I would like to discuss about finding mentor.
We are really blessed at this age because we have internet, laptop smartphone. Everything is just in our palm.
Just use it effectively to your advantage. I learned lot from traders who started around 90's, I was amaze how they start learning trading, from losing to consistently profitable trader.
One of my mentor told me that he spend about 9 years before he realized that he consistently profitable trader. It's hard to find mentor that time, you have to buy books and find personally a mentor.
Unlike today, everything is free, information is free. I was able to develop my trading via online forum in Forexfactory. There is a guy there that has a passion in trading and has a personal mission in life to help struggling traders.
Currently I devided my mentor into two:
1) Forex Trader Mentor - Psychology
2) Forex Trader Mentor - Technical Analysis
3) Forex Trader Mentor - Money Management
Everyday, I make sure that I attend a lesson on each topic. Via e-books, via youtube, via podcast.
Paid membership sites are good, but the problem is everytime we subscribe to new membership site we always expect an immediate result in our trading. It happened to me before, I subscribe to a $100/month fee and that was big for a subscription fee that I will pay monthly.
So my tip for this article is to look for a mentor and stick to him. Just like the trading system, see to it to stick to him, learn lesson again and again with him. REPETITION is very powerful practice I'm doing everyday, especially when it inspire me or I can relate to a topic.
